The Number one goal for the game is to have fun, if you don't do that then there really is no reason to come back.

Most people though, need other goals, a real reason to play the game at all, so to these people we have a list of reasons, and you are free to go down and pick one for yourself, or make up your own.

Role-Playing
Fuddles is really all about Role-Playing. Role-Playing is choosing a character in certain settings, and acting out what that character would do in certain situations. In this case, you create a character Fuddle, and play his/her life out from birth on, if you want.

Adventure
Most gamers remember the old text-based RP games. Personally I've always enjoyed them, and have tried to incorporate much of that into Fuddles. Since the fuddles are always making tunnels, and forgetting where they lead, that leaves a lot of territory for any one fuddle to cover, where he or she can learn many new things, or pull on a lot of plant roots that often poke through the sides of the tunnels. You might find treasures, monsters, other fuddles, or just strange writtings on the walls, but you never know until you go out and explore.

Run a Guild
Anyone has the ability to join or create a guild, within their class. Each guild has its own forum, and can trade class secrets and such. The guild leader moderates and chooses moderators for the forum, and each guild is allowed one scholar. Any new member either has to apply for membership, or be invited, and approved by the guild

Keep the Peace
Once a Hunter reaches the Warrior class, he or she has the option to have a Mason build them a jail. This adds a new feature to the winners options at the end of a fuddle-fuddle fight which lets you put that player in jail for a few days, at which time they have the option to pay a fine or have someone else do it. If the Jail is backed by the Mayor, then half the fine goes to owner of the jail and half to the town(Mayor). If the Jail is not backed by the Mayor, then the owner of the jail must pay the fine to the Mayor out of his or her own pocket.

Become Mayor
Anyone has the ability to become the Mayor, but as such you lose the right to create or run a guild, and you lose any other specific class options. As Mayor you moderate and choose moderators for the town forums, give permission for people to set up certain buisnesses, set the voting topics, load your own graphic as the town flag, and do other actions to keep your town as prosperous and peaceful or as corrupt and disorganized as you wish.

Invent new Items
Both Blacksmiths and Scholars have the ability to create new items, and Wizards and Weaponsmiths new weapons. Learning takes time, and you must learn a lot before you can reach this point. When you create a new item you are given several options, the most important of which is "do you want to write this down?". For the Scholars and Wizards this is almost manditory, because they do not have the means to make the items themself, and must bring the plans to someone else to make them.
